Lightbulb What is the best option for my build?

Guys, I know there are 1,000's of ways to build an evo motor. I want to do mine right. My motor jumped timing. Sucks but it happens. I have an 04 GSR. Everything is out, motor, trans etc. the reason I did so was because my car had 171k on it. So if there was ever a time for an over haul now is the time. Block and head are separated, trans is off as well, yes of course I'll be getting a new clutch while it's open, and ps the trans is in very good shape. The head took the major hit. However I am not looking to make this car a track car or anything like that. A few extra horse is fine by me so seeing the block has 171k on it should I go all brand new OEM? With a few bolt ons? Or more....
I'm not trying to go crazy because we all know these builds cost $$$. But I am looking to do it right. It was my everyday driver. Whatever direction I go in I'd like 0.0k when I start. Either way I am going to build the head with cams. But as far as the bottom end goes........
Suggestions...........

If you're not looking to make a bunch of power, a new OEM short block is around $3200. Not a bad deal since you could sell your short block for 800-1k.
