hi there, been doing some checking around and trying to find more info on the gtw line of garrett turbos, im looking and i cant seem to find much info on the gtw3684r turbo. hardly any reviews im seeing pertaining to 4g63 dsm or evo powered cars. also it appears as tho some sites are selling them as supercores and when u add the turbine housing the price starts to sharply increase. anyone on here using the gtw series turbos?

im trying to avoid pte for reliability reasons and bw for the lack of an affordable bb option.

also what im looking for is the gtw3684r (6262 equiv) with a .,82 a/r and a 3inch vband turbine housing.

if possible scout me out to the best place to get this.

 

Go with a GTX Gen 2 Turbo instead

 

the gen 2 only comes in vband in, and the price is out of my budget range.

i already have a t3 configured setup and im just looking for an economical ball bearing solution that is als reliable.

 

The BMW guys have been using the GTW turbos for a bit. They are definitely reliable, and a decently cheap alternative. Expect spool to suffer some, so maybe size it up with a smaller housing if that's your thing.
