EVO 9 Leaking ACD pump

Pump started leaking where the gold cylinder mates to the pump assembly. Is this rebuildable? Used is over $500!

Removed the ACD pump assembly and also the solenoid where the leak is coming from and I can see a hairline crack in the base of the solenoid.

If someone replaced their pump assembly and has a spare solenoid please let me know.

you cant fix that with epoxy... your best bet is to find a used solenoid or buy a pump that needs a rebuild and use it for spares.. The crack usually originates because of the corrosion around the base of the solenoid so there is no guarantee that it will be ok..

You can use evo X proportional solenoid too... X has two of those + 1 directional valve but when you use a X valve on the earlier cars you need to check that the solenoid is oriented properly... for example when we used a X valve on an 8 (but eudm 8 with different pump with AYC) we nedeed to rotate the valve 180 deg... which should be no problem for you but is a bit of an issue for us as we need to trim the outer pump hanger on our cars..

there is a guy in the UK that rebuilds the solenoids.. richyx on lancerregister...

Ok I tried repairing my solenoid and I'm ready to reinstall the pump assembly. Is there a bleeding procedure on this forum?

You will need to search for the exact procedure but it is something like put your foot on the gas pedal and put it to the floor. Turn the ignition key on and wait about 5-10 seconds. IF your repair was successful you'll hear the pump working. Do this a could of times (I had to do it 2-3 times) and it will purge all of the air out. You'll hear a change in the pitch when the pump is properly primed.
