What Oil and Oil Filter are you Running?

Well, like I wrote, ask for the filter number for a 1995 Dodge Stealth (brand of your choice), and try one of those and see what you think. A Dodge Stealth is 100% Mitsubishi so the filter fits but is a little fatter. Those cars are all but gone but I've yet to visit a parts house that didn't carry that filter.

I used Mobil 1 5w30 and OEM filter, because they are easily available and I can consistently get them with every oil change at any Mitsubishi dealership.
I would love to go for the Red Line or Amsoil engine oil, but those are usually a hassle to buy and ship to my place.

bug motors make like 60hp and need to be rebuilt all the time.

I really like K&N performance filters!
When I installed one on my DSM I noticed slightly higher oil pressure, and especially because they have a 1 in nut welded on them for easy on and off

The type of oil Best for engine comes down to the specs of the engine, some clearances are tighter for others and you need to run different oil for that, for example the crank floats on the main bearings and your gonna need different oil depending on the clearance of those bearings and the rest of the parts... hope this helps... some have higher zinc content than others to keep ur turbo and oil pump happy.

The type of oil used really only matters when you have looser clearances and larger ring gaps etc... but for the most part when it comes to Evos & STi's you really cant go wrong with a heavier weight. Ur not guna want to run a 5w20 in any build, but can run a 20w50 in any build. This is why you cant go wrong with a 15/20w50.
