Best intake and throttle body ???

Hi all, this is my first time posting on here but I habe a question hopefully I can get some good advise. I habe a 2006 Evo 9MR I have ordered a Injen full air intake system and bow I am wanting to get a intake manifold and throttle body. My question is which combination of the 2 will have the best performance. I have been looking at the Skunk 2 Pro Series and possibly the Weapon-R Full Neo Titanium. Just don't know the best option to go with. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Skunk 2 intake manifold was worth 20whp at 500whp over 7500 for me. I tested it back to back over a ported stock intake.

If you are on the stock turbo that money is better suited to go to a larger turbo, the HTA71 is a great bang for the buck. The stock turbo is out of steam on the stock bottom end.

I am completely stock at the moment i have the air intake on order but still waiting for it. But I have a boost leak at the throttle body so I figured I would just replace that and the intake manifold at the same time. Bigger turbo is probably next on the list

Replacing the manifold is a chore but can be done over a day. I would use an oem intake gasket and stick to a ported 65mm oem TB. The egr is deleted on the skunk manifold so you will need to adjust the tune.

Going with too large of a tb will make the car harder to drive at low speeds and many have made big power on a 65.

You can replace the seals in the TB. Get high pressure ones from Mil.Spec. No need to replace the whole thing.

There is much more power to be gained with a turbocharger upgrade and camshafts than anything else at this point.

This.

I have pretty much every bolt on you can have minus upgraded IM/TB. I've been making over 450whp since 2008. I am now finally getting around to porting them. It's not something you should really worry about at this point (other than replacing the TB seals).

Yea a ported intake manifold isn't a great investment for stock turbo power.

Upgrade the turbo or run larger camshafts and that would be a better use of money.

Also make sure your system is Boost Leak Tested.

Not much to be gained on a ported manifold at least at the 500whp
Level.
Skunk 2 and a ported stock tb is a great combo.

And how did the Skunk work at bottom and midrange compared to OEM ported manifold?
7500rpm is for most reached for rare moment - but we all drive at 2000-5000rpm.
Thank you

Thank you
It only picked up after 7500.
The Dyno graph was exactly the same below that. However, there was a very very small difference in transient response vs stock on the street at part throttle. It's slightly larger manifold and runners but it's not as large as the other intake manifolds that really focus on high rpm.
I also tried a porter stocker and chose the skunk over it.
