Guys its posted before but changing your fluids will greatly reduce your driveline noise by like 70%...

Its totally quiet now ......

As per http://www.roadraceengineering.com/eclfluids.htm I use redline 75-90 for the rear,Red Line Heavy weight Shock Proof Gear Lube for the center diff and BG Syncro Shift for the tranny,,,

Shifting feels bit better not too much difference but the tranny sounds great...

Had very minor metal dust in the tranny magnets and almost nothing in my transfer case and rear diff....

My Car has about 15000 miles was a pain but worth it,Forums helped alot!! Thx to the club !!

 

My Transfer Case went out after I put it Redline 75w90 in it. I would swap out whatever oil you just put in your TC and put OEM back in (GL5 Hypoid Gear Oil 90 weight)

Buschur, Sheppard Racing, and others all recommend the OEM fluid. Buschur actually went through 2 TC's the hard way.

 

Wow didnt know this very interesting,hard to believe certain typed of fluids will cause a TC to fail?

That's wierd. I put Mobil 1 synthetic 75W90 in my transfer and it says right on the bottle meets GL5 ratings.

My dealer does not sell fluids by the quart, ony 5 gallon containers so that they can rape you on in-house service.

Maybe Buschur went through 2 transfer cases because they beat the **** out of their car and it was not the fluid?

 

I think they still "beat the **** out of their car" with OEM fluid and the TC is fine this time around... go figure

 

a bit of OT:

I bought the car 2 months ago, already break-in the motor and have 2300mi now. Just went to 2 autox and plan to go almost every weekend from now on.

When should I change my TC, tanny and rear diff fluids?
4000, 6000 or ......??

Yep Buschur is happily raping their oem-fluid-filled transfer case.

I wouldnt change the fluid the first time until 10k.

 

what does Buschur use in the tranny and rear end?

 

Do you nedd the LSD additive for the rear end with the redline fluid ???

 

OEM stuff

 

no fluid will prevent a diff from blowing up. No matter what you do, hard launching will beat up on the drivetrain, and it doesn't make a difference what fluid is in it.

 

YUP AGREED !!!!

Plus REDLINE is one of the best..... But thats just my opinion most DSM tuners use the stuff since 1990

 

What kind of power is the Buschur car making?

im going to pick up my car today. just got a new act clutch kit installed and had my guy put the redline fluids in the tc and tranny. hope this stuff is good
