Block breather location?

Would it hurt or be a good idea to put a -6an fitting to vent my engine block on the balance shaft inspection hole, and also weld a -12an fitting vent on the front of my oil pump??
Is this too much?

Not needed. 10an vents on the valve cover are plenty. Lots of oil tends to come of vents that are placed in the locations you're asking about.
