How do you prove you told the attendant 93 not 87?

 

Old now, but running a tank of 87 won't matter if the engine doesn't see heavy load. Just drive easy and stay out of boost, you'll be just fine.

 

There's a sticker inside the fuel door that says premium only. If the fuel in the tank is anything other than premium, it's pretty easy, regardless what the attendant says.

Oregon tries to pull this same ****. I don't care what they say, I do NOT let them fill my car up.

 

Yesterday I was at a gas station at Ogallala, Nebraska fuelling my car when a loud alarm sounded. Out came a female attendant who started taping over dispensers with duct tape. When she got to the dispenser I was using she explained, "A truck is coming but until it arrives we are out of product, we only have 91 octane."

She taped over 87 octane and 87 octane with ethanol, each at a different price. So, they ran out of both at the same time.

 

Well, I as i pulled up, i said, "Hey there. Could you fill up $20 on 93 please." He crabbed at me and mumbled something... "93 please (as i couldn't understand him and thought he said what octane)."

"Gas door... Open it," the man said.

"Oh, oops, sorry about that. $20.. 93 please," I replied

He walks over, opens my gas door and clicks 87 ... Like da fudge.. And then he kept tapping my spoiler...

And I have dashcam footage of me saying 93 octane 3 times.

 

Complain to station owner and the corporate fuel saying "I need to have my dealer check out for damage. Who do i send the bills to?"

That attendant has no business pumping gas because this idiot has no clue how much damage he can cause by being a jackass.
