DIY COP question after install

Alright so I went ahead and built a COP setup for my car with some Honda denso coils. Started the car up and it runs awesome seems to have more torque in the lower rpm band before the turbo lights and the idle is definitely smoother however I did notice on initial startup the rpms jump higher than before. Now on startup rpms will jump to around 2200 and hang for a little then will slowly drop down to 1200 (still working on sorting that issue). Is it a common practice when switching to COP to disconnect battery and reset idle and fueling tables?

won't have any effect on the idle like you're describing
