Red face your easy DIY = my hard DIY

alright, im a noobie to most cars and i dont know much about them, but i did get the eyelids installed by myself and being the confident "installer" i was, i tried to install these new silverstars (9007 @ 65/55 wattage). its been 3 hours now and ive gotten the protecting plate unlocked but now it stands with the stock bulb..

it seems i cannot get the bulb out of the socket.. and ive looked inn the owners manual, searched around, and used just about everything i know of..

if anyone can help me figure out how to slip the lightbulb out of the headlight socket, please let me know your tips.. i'd like to get them installed and see what they look like tonight

Is the bulb still inside the housing, or not? (ie, you've gotten it out and can actually touch the bulb)

By the way, don't EVER touch the bulb.

The bulbs are held on by a little clip. You should be able to pull it up with your finger, but a small screwdriver would also work.

When you install the new bulbs, simply press them onto the mount. Make sure NOT to touch them, or they'll burn out much faster. Stick them back in the housing, turn to lock and voila. You're done.

Other that gently prying with a screwdriver, there isn't much you can do. Perhaps getting a wide set of pliers around the bulb housing (the plastic, obviously) and wiggling it might also help.

The bulbs should be quite snug, but not impossible to remove. If you seriously have no chance in removing them, take the car back to the dealer and have them do it.

And be careful with that clip, or your break it like I did.
