FPR not holding pressure with surge tank

Hey guys and gals, I am having issues with my surge tank. When I had the surge installed the fpr wasn't holding fuel at all. As soon as the system primed it would lose pressure right away. I have a -10 feed, -6 return and standard size fittings for the feed and return with a DW300 feeding the surge. When I re-installed the double pump system the FPR held just fine with no issues. So it is something with my surge setup. Any ideas?

That's what happens when you've got a leak.

It's either leaking inside the tank or it's leaking at the FPR valve and returning to the tank.
The FPR is easy to check, so it's eliminated one way or the other.
Most aftermarket FPRs leak due to the low quality. Factory ones don't unless there's dirt stuck in the valve.
Pressure should hold for several weeks after it's shut off.
