Storing a built block

I got a built block on my engine stand and the engine wrapped with shrink wrap until I get can complete my built. Is there a correct way to store the block for a long period? Should I lube the block every XX days?

Drop it back in the car. With stock cams and a stock turbo it shouldn't even need a tune.

for what its worth... i had one stored for over a year and this is what i did.

took off the valve cover and all the cam lobes still had assembly lube on them. so i didnt pour any oil on them.
I did pour about 2 quarts of 20w-50 in the motor and kinda poured it all along the top of the head so it would drip all over the crank.

then i took out the spark plugs and put about a table spoon of the same oil down in the cylinder.
turned over the motor a couple times, and put the valve cover and spark plugs back in it.
left it that way till i put it back in the car.

Rub heavy weight oil on everything and shrink wrap it. All the surfaces and it will be like that when you unwrap it.
