Issue with my built please help

Hello everyone,
Sorry for the long text but please bear with me
I been experiencing little issue and I am not sure what is going on. Little background on the car. I have an evo 9 which I just built the motor. I went with a 4g64 because my block was blown. Anyway my cars AFRs were ok during the break in and normal driving. I broke my car in on 91 octane the highest you can get in California and because my car was running a little rich and building carbon on the pistons and the sparkplugs after the break in I put some synthetic oil and did couple tanks of E85 which I have the tune for both. On E85 my afrs were still ok on normal driving. I ran out of E85 and was far from a gas station to refuel with E85 so I switched the map and put some chevron 91 octane in my car. My gas light was on for about 5 miles before I refuel. Ever since then my afrs been very lean and I keep getting bank 1 system too lean code P0171. Today when I was driving I got another code P0011 Intake (A) Camshaft position timing – over advanced Bank 1 WTF? I never got the P0011 code before in any conditions. Can someone please help me figure this out? Could it be a tune issue if so why it didn’t do it before I changed fuels from E85 to 91? Could my fuel pump be going out? I don’t even know where to start. let me know if more info is need it.
Thank you so much for your help.

For the code you'll want to make sure your engine is properly timed, then you can start troubleshooting your mivec system. Here's a related thread. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ses-light.html

For the lean issue you'll want to make sure you're on the right map (should be since you'd be running rich otherwise), then start troubleshooting your fueling system.

Make sure you're mechanically sound first, then check your tune.

Thank you for commenting. Ok so if it's timing issue why would I get the code after 3k miles on the built. I'll see if it'll come back on today driving home from work. I have a 2.4 so the exhaust cam is retarded. But I took it to an evo shop to get it filmed and every time I took the belt off I would use their marks to line everything up. I guess I can check to see if everything is lining up again

I saw similar behavior on my Eclipse where the belt had skipped a tooth because I didn't apply the proper tension when installing a new belt. Timing would certainly be the first thing I'd check

Would the compression be off if the timing jumped a tooth?

It'll be to do with your pump and FPR mods.
The pressure will be wrong.

P0171 likely tune related. Injector scaling and or latency.

P0011.
Step 1 check mechanical timing
Step 2 swap oil control valve
Step 3 swap mivec cam gear
Step 4 make sure no oil passage is blocked with silicone going to mivec mechanism

Lmao. Is this a bit that you're doing? Like, is this your shtick?

I don't know, sorry. What numbers are you seeing, though? And if you're doing a compression test why not check the timing while you're in there?

Also............ if it's now a 4G64 and it was a 4G63 before .......it's bigger and so the tune will need adjusting.
If it's still a MAF tune, the ignition timing advance will be wrong.
If it's a SD tune, the AFR will be wrong.

If you give it a compression test, the numbers should tell you if the cams have jumped time......the numbers usually go up.
