Shifter Bushing question, probably different than you think
Shifter Bushing question, probably different than you think
I am in the middle to swapping my wife's engine out on her 05 GSR. I am swapping over a full Evo 5 engine and trans, one thing I came to notice is, the bronze bushings I got for her shift assembly under hood, see a little off, the bushing on top, that sits horizontally fits fine. The lower one, that sits vertically, seems too tall, or more specifically, the post it sits on seems too short. I was hoping to find out: A. Is this the case? B. Does someone make a simple plug and play bushing I could use here? C. If A is yes, and B is a no, is there a way to swap out those selector arms without needing to fully disassemble the selector system?
I noticed a pin or something on the arm/shaft, and was not sure if that would make it swapable?
Thanks

I ran into this too installing an evo 4 transmission in my evo 9. My solution was to “dish†out the bushing to allow for the cotter pin to be installed. I am using torque solutions bushings. They are not Metal.
This is the best photo I I currently. Hopefully it helps you.
