Installing evo 8 engine help!
So i have a question about installing the engine back into the car. The machine shop has rebuilt my engine and its ready to go. Is installing the engine back into the car hard for someone who has worked on tons of cars before but never on an evo? This guy is a family friend and will do it for very cheap compared to a shop. Is there something different about evos that make them hard to install?
Pretty straight forward. Ive done a lot of engine swap, and first time on my evo when I rebuilt it.
For him (your mechanic) with engine rebuild experience would be easy.
Just provide him some pdf important manual and torque values.

putting the engine back is easy, just be careful with the timing and if you have balance shafts then you have to time it the correct way, it will line up to the marks but if it's positioned in the wrong orientation the engine will vibrate..
here is how to line up the balance shaft..
here's an even better video, it details how to line up balance shaft and the timing tension correctly..
watch these vids and show them to your friend who will put in the engine first.
