The Evo 9 bracket fit, but the rod of the actuator was about an inch to the right because the lever arm on Evo 9's rotate to the right not left. Maybe I could use an Evo 9 bracket with the Evo 8 actuator.

 

It's strange how there isn't a kit made for this. You can't be the only one doing this.

 

Yeah, seriously. Just talked to my buddy. He's just gonna look for a 10.5 hotside and eliminate this problem. He still has the Turbosmart Evo 9 WGA, so we could just bolt it right up and be good to go. Do you know of any sites selling a 10.5 housing? I've just been looking and the few sites I found them on were out of stock.

 

I've never looked. It will be a challenge since everyone is looking for 10.5 for HTA71 (including evo 8.5 and 9s) because many are old and are starting to fail. GL on your search.

 

If you find one, consider porting the exhaust impeller port closer to impeller. This is what I did (when I was done, the shelf was barely taller than impellers-blue ink was shaved down):

Looks correct, but that's too expensive. $631 is too much for just the hotside. You're better off getting a htz green.
