decipher my tune

Ok guys, ive been having an issue for the last couple weeks where my car idles and cruises rich as hell. Idle 11.5 - 12. Everything has been done and checked. This started after doing headgasket, arp headstuds, gsc s2 cams, gsc springs/retainers. My tuner says only way he could lean it out was scaling injectors which are stock. Car is 04 evo 8, evo 9 turbo, gsc s2 cams with springs/retainers, speed density, and bolts ons. I'm having a member from the forums check the tune but was wondering if you tuning gurus could take a look. Maybe something will catch your eye that would explain this situation. Keep in mind car had a cylinder with low compression on this tune so now that its fixed this may have affected it. Fuel trims on evoscan are not reading. I installed a denso o2 sensor from auto parts but nothing. Ive spoke to some guys that said it has to be factory o2 sensor because others don't work as well. Would really rather not spend $350 on that right now but if I have to I have to. Let me know what you think guys.

Are you still on a stock map sensor? Do you have a air temp sensor in your UiCP? Do you know if your tuner turned off the rear O2 sensor?

I just pulled off my head for 90 psi compression in cylinder 3. After paying for leak down test (I had a hunch it wasn't rings causing 60% leak), it was intake valve leaking back into intake manifold and into cylinder 4 (my guess is because 3 was in compression, leaked into 4 which was in suction). So I see now that my leak isn't because of running E85.

Omni 4 bar, iat sensor, I don't think he turned it off. I was snooping around on the map and it says enabled. I swapped out map sensor with brand new one and same thing. Disconnected iat and reading went from 28c to -58c.

Your best bet would be to snap a screen shot of your speed density scalings and make a new thread in the ecuflash section. Those guys would be of more help.

Can you post a screen shot of your SD map sensor VE and SD rpm VE? I can't open the file you posted.

You can use a denso o2. It reads and works fine for me. Who tuned the car? Maybe you might just need to find another tuner.

That’s what I’m hoping that it’s just a tune. I want to make some changes with you guys help to confirm then I’ll find another tuner. Some people say the denso works some day it doesn’t idk. I sure don’t want to throw $350 at it without knowing if this is the problem or not specially having a kid on the way. 2winscroll is helping me out with this making some changes to the tune to try. I will post pics of it when I get home for you guys to see.

For $50 to try the o2, isn't that much and better than spending $350

Ok nice. Here is a picture of ve tables and a log from cold start. It idled at 1500 rpms during warm up and afr 12.5 - 13 and dropping. As soon as I saw o2 feedback appear which is I'm guessing when it switched to closed loop it went rich as hell to 11.3 - 10.8 ish and car would stumble so I turn it off. Please watch the 02 voltage and tell me what you guys think? I think this o2 sensor is crapping out. idk.
