how to warm up a carbon clutch?
how to warm up a carbon clutch?
recently i installed a xtreme twin carbon 230mm clutch on my evo, its a australian brand clutch. after doing the 1000 km it needs to break in, i have started to pound on the car, my car makes 500 whp with 400 torque.
what i noticed is sometimes the car would go through the gears just fine and sometimes the clutch would slip if i go WOT from first or second gear.
then i read that carbon clutches need to be warmed up by "slipping" them, how do i slip them, and wouldnt that cause premature wear on the clutch?

This is the first time I hear that a clutch has to be warmed up before it could handle it's rated torque.
