Not sure if this is the right place to ask if not then I am sorry but I asked in other sections and got no response so here it is. I am in the process of cleaning up the engine bay and the ABS module cover has surface rust. Am I able to remove it and clean it up without messing
anything up? I see that there are 2 bolts one on top and one on bottom holding it in.
Unless someone has remvoed that housing cover before, I would advise against it
That cover is likely protecting the solenoid that creates the hydraulic pulses. Not sure what can of worms that would create by removing it?
It might be totally OK, but as with mechanical items, it might be a one-way street w/no return
Thats what I was thinking. Any recommendation on how to get rid of the rust. I have been using never dull and standing over the engine but its a pita and my back is killing me
You can pop it off there is only those 2 allen head bolts holding it on. Check out my build thread here post #17 has some pictures of what mine looked like prior to cleaning it up.

There isnt much to it, its basically just an electrical motor.
Thanks so much for the reply, I was thinking that I would have to struggle with it and work on it in the engine bay but with your post that eliminates that hahaha once again thank you man
