It sounds like the imbalance balances itself with higher revs? Interesting.
2 negatives = positive?

^^ Yes, everything we do is personal preference.
And preference changes over time.

my guess would be that if you can tolerate the evo period then removing the balance shafts probably wont be an issue for you.

If my car had 900whp, I'd probably drive it even less . I mean really... when would I ever get any use out of it?? Maybe if I were into drag racing? Though, if I were, I definitely would not pick an Evo as a drag car. That just makes no sense to me LOL

Exactly. Not like balance shafts are gonna turn our tin cans into a Lexus.

True. I read how some have noticed rattles/squeaks after their airbag was fixed the first time. When I checked on mine, I noticed them too. It has bothered me since.

A hoped for 900HP build and people are talking "DD" and worrying about vibration.
How cute.

The excess oil pressure on the other hand is something worth talking about for a 900HP build. English racing or somebody was doing a larger oil pump gear to slow down the pump for this situation. It has less to do with "excess pressure" and more to do with sucking the oil pan dry though (which more pressure = more flow so, one in the same here).

I'm the same way, I want to have my cake and eat it too. People are inspired by the cars that the evo was never designed to be (high hp exotics that ride quiet) and still think it possible.

For me, high oil pressure brings the issue of burning oil. According to FP, their CHRAs are only designed to see about 100 psi of oil pressure max. People with excessive oil pressure push oil out the exhaust side ring seals of the turbo and burn oil.
