I don't know if anyone has tried them. But I have heard very good things about S&B filters. They're cotton filters just like K&Ns, but everyone that has used them say they filter better than regular K&Ns.

The hks intake pipe with the apexi filter, apexi's filtration is unbeatable. I just have the filter in now and it's amazing.

I have the HKS pipe and the APEXi filter. The sound is great, seat of my pants could be in my mind but, I fell a difference. Plus the apexi kit comes with settings for the safc2. Settings might be for a jdm spec evo8, though it works for me!

wow that's actually very responsible of APEXi to include safcII corrections with their filter, I would be interested in seeing their settings, even though I no longer have a safc, just for curiosity's sake.

Tracer ...did you get the apexi EVO 8 kit or just a universal filter?

If its the filter can you tell us what part number or what is the size of the inlet?

I did get the apexi evo 8 version, i don't remember the part number off hand but you can call andy or george and they know it. It comes with a heat shield (very shiney looks good) also and the proper adapter to make a perfect fit.

I got mine from Boost solutions too. It took a few weeks to get the HKS suction pipe in, but well worth it. I belive it was Andy that also said this pipe was a little different than the one with that comes with kit. Though I have not compaired them.
