As topic states, I have Evo 8 pistons, need rings but can't get genuine where I am. No-one seems to have in stock. A friend has a set of brand new cp piston rings that he bought for his Evo 8. Will they fit/work?

 

i dont know for sure....
but general rule is rings are not interchangeable across different piston mfgs.

 

You're right. I verified with CP pistons directly and they confirmed that their rings would not work.

You can get OEM rings from the anyone who sells OEM parts. I would give STM a call.
