Change crankshaft seal with timing belt

Hi all,
About to do the timing belt (daily driver, 96k miles). Gonna do the works while I'm in there. A mechanic friend (who doesn't know Evos but is a pretty good mechanic) suggested I do the crankshaft seal while I'm in there. I haven't seen much discussion of that in the timing belt threads I've read.

Do you all usually replace that with the timing belt?
Is it difficult?
Or is it more trouble than it's worth if it's not leaking?

Thanks,
Anthony

It seems crazy since some of these engines are now 15 years old (in the US) but I never heard of the front crank seal leaking.

I'm planning doing timing belt/balance/pullies/tensioner/waterpump, the whole shebang for 120k miles maintenance. Since i'm in there, should the front seal be replaced? I'm under 350 whp, mostly bolt ons

might as well replace the oil pump, and gaskets too...... oil pump cover comes with new seal.

It's easy enough to. Might as well.

LMAO, the oil pump is not a "might as well" replacement part. $240 for the pump/case, and multiple additional hours pulling the oil pan and various other parts. 0/10; do not recommend unless there's an ACTUAL failure/reason to do so.
