Stumped on rear diff install 8/9

Stumped on rear diff install 8/9

Never mind. Dude sold me a differential for an Evo 8/9 With AYC.
story of my life LOL

So.. got a diff in the mail and it looks a lot different than I'm used to. I can't figure out how the large bearing on the ring gear side of the diff is to work in an 8/9 differential housing. Am I supposed to use part of the OEM unit? I expected this thing to look more like the picture on the box.
