My guess is there was a top end failure (cams maybe?), locking up the motor resulting in a failed timing belt

How old is that timing belt? We love diagnosing & viewing some mechanical carnage, so please detail what you find

By the way, welcome aboard EvOM

Make sure the machine shop gives you an opinion. Maybe the head can be saved?

Keep us posted on your progress

Did you miss a gear, like shifting to 2nd instead of 4th? It dropped a valve, I doubt the timing belt was the cause. I would have to think that a keeper or retainer failed, and the belt probably snapped when the gear couldn't move any further. This can happen with over-revs. Dropping a valve is essentially the most catastrophic engine failure there is - when it goes, it takes EVERYTHING with it. The head looks like it's finished, the piston is dead, you have metal shavings all throughout your motor, and I bet the cylinder wall in the failed cylinder is scored bad enough to warrant a re-bore.

New motor time.

Heads repairable

So have been to few places 4 quotes and all said head is sweet to repair so going to get done and oversized 1mm valves new springs seals and retainers and hopefully find a set of cams that will give it a little lump at idle maybe 272 and bore is sweet but while I'm waiting on head I e found a evo 4 motor with a run rod bearing on cylinder 1 so am thinking of using this motor to make 1 out of the 2 but have to check my rods and crank first then will go from there any thoughts on what I should do the evo4 motor is complete just need to know what bearing set and studsand seals I'll need and are recommended and what should I do buy forged pistons or try use the good 1s out of the 2 with new rings ??? I'm not sure cause when head gets built will go back on my 6block so might as well do bottom end with new bearings and forged pistons and put 4 head on to get running again till have money to complete ev6 head build

also is it worth while doing the balance shaft delete kit any recommendations on which 1 is good to get ??
