I'm installing a pre-owned OEM Evo 9 turbo on to my Evo 8. The Evo 9 turbo comes without any bolts, and the previous owner has removed the studs as well :/
Does anyone know if I can get away with just using new bolts to mount the turbo in place instead of using studs?
Specifically, can I just use these for both bolt and stud locations? https://www.maperformance.com/produc...-evo-8-9-and-x
Any idea how many of these bolts are needed?
And how many turbo to O2 housing bolts are needed?

 

 

You can get all the appropriate studs, bolts, nuts and washers from STM. Just give them call.

 

Do you mean I can simply use bolts, while leaving the stud locations empty?

 

You would use bolts instead of studs. You need all 4 pieces of hardware hold the turbo on or it will blow the gasket out..
