I use OE Diaqueen for everything.

I do not recommend AMSOil for the trans. I ruined mine with that stuff.

Jacks recommended Diaqueen, or Redline for trans, Diaqueen for T/C and Rear.

Oem is always a safe bet but I prefer Redline or Motul for all fluids. Just make sure if you go aftermarket fluid that you are getting the right spec.

Curious, how did running Amsoil ruin your trans? I've been running it in my Trans, Transfercase and rear diff for years and never had any problems.

I can't say Amsoil ruined my trans, but it did not shift as nice as redline MT90.

TRE has OK'd
  • Redline MT-90 in the Tranny
  • RedLine Heavy Shock Proof in the TC (temps above 45F)
  • Although not noted by TRE, been running Redline 75W/90 in the **** end
Been running this combo for 10 years

There's no way an individual owner can learn what is best.

I had the same exact outcome. Ran amsoil for a long time, felt ok. Tried redline and I had less grinding issues that I normally had in 2nd and 5th gear.

Oem seems to work fine here. On my 03 I tried amsoil, redline, and the mopar synthetic in the tranny and didn’t like any compared to oem.
