Looking for exhaust manifold advice (stock placement)

I've got a built 2.0l running a single scroll FP Red and I'll probably end up moving to a Zephyr or a Black in the future. I'm looking to upgrade my exhaust manifold from a cheap Chinese manufactured tubular manifold to something better. My goal is high RPM power; midrange responsiveness isn't a huge concern for me.

I think I've narrowed my decision down to either the STM or the JMF fabriacted manifolds (links below) but I don't understand the price differential between the two. The JMF manifold is more than 500 dollars cheaper but the build quality appears similar. They both use the same materials and both are hand built. What might account for the difference in price? And are there any other possible considerations to be made?

I see both of the collectors look like they're designed for a twin scroll, should I reconsider my options because of that? I was thinking maybe I could grind the center divider out a bit

Thanks for any input

I don't think it'll matter having a TS mani. You may even get slightly better spool with one.

Either one of those pieces are quality, and unless there's a difference in warranties, I'd go for the JMF one.

Here's another one for you to consider that looks pretty sweet: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ve...manifolds.html

How is your Red a single scroll? Are you referring to the SS exhaust side?

All of the manifolds mentioned are of great quality. Personally I would go STM since their manifold has a much better design imo, true equal length runners and more narrow collector entry angle. I plan on getting one in the future if I stay stock frame. As for price difference idk, STM seems to charge a premium compared to competitors with the same product. Their COP kit price is a good example of this.

I would do an FP manifold. No reason to spend so much on a tubular manifold that will eventually crack. And the FP manifold has been proven to work very well.

We offer a thick wall stainless sch40 and JMF CAST or 5 Axis CNC BILLET collectors with our stock twinscroll manifolds, they are good for anything you could ever wanna throw at em power wise, check em out!

If you are on a budget, we also carry the fp cast manifold and complete lineup of fp turbos, as we are a direct FP dealer!

Figured I would update this thread with a new manifold from Morrison Fab. IMO this is definitely the best on the market with its design and detail. It is also priced competitively against other tubular designs.
