That clutch is not new, been around for a while. Had it in my car in 2014. It drives ok. Mine went ~30k miles and was worn out. It could handle launches pretty well at the level my car was at when I had it- 400whp/400wtq on the stock turbo with E85 and bolt ons.

There is a break in period for the clutch right?

Being cerametallic friction material, it doesn't really need it. But a few hundred miles of easy street driving never hurts.

Just a separate question. What kind of ECU were you running at the time?

Does it handle constant high RPM shifting well??

I have this clutch now. It likes to chatter at low speed (from a stop) engagement but other than that i like it. Ive launched mine with no issues and have not had any high rpm shifting issues. Currently has around 15k miles on it with no issues.

I had exedy stage 1 previously and thats all i really have to compare it to. I like it better than the exedy because it feels better on a launch but it could just be my imagination haha.

I bought the older version of the stage 3 that was Kevlar when it first came out. It did like to chatter at low speed. The grip was not all that impressive and after about 15k miles it randomly froze to the pressure plate/flywheel and I could not get it disengaged. Ended up replacing it with a Stage 2 and IMO it feels like a better clutch. Grippier and it's lasted longer. Already have at least 20k on the stage 2 and it's going strong. Stock turbo stock block evo with a few bolt ons and a retune. Only about 320hp.

Please avoid this clutch if youre looking for longevity. I just took mine out after 20k miles of daily driving because the friction material was completely worn down. After speaking to a few evo shops they have seen similiar results with this clutch. I have heard more positive reviews on the stage 2. Im running an ACT HDSS now

i've been on this comp clutch for 20K miles bolt ons/e85 with no issues. Definitely recommend getting an ACT monoloc collar and an oem throw out bearing if you go with this clutch.
