Evo 9 Exhaust on an Evo 8 Mr

Hey guys, I have done a bit of searching and havent found a definite answer on this topic, I'm buying a evo 8 mr fq300 from interstate which means i need to bring it through a roadworthy test. It currently has a straight piped hks exhaust on it, which i need to swap out to pass the inspection. I have access to an evo 9 exhaust, which I'd like to know if it would fit the car. Ive heard of issues with the harness for the downstream oxygen sensor is in different locations and it isnt long enough to reach...

any comments?

Not sure about other markets. USDM IX and VIII MR are the same IIRC. USDM VIII MR was 2005 only with ACD just like the IX was. Exhaust was made to clear the ACD transfer case. Downstream sensor should be in the right place too.

Okay, so even if the 2004 evo 8 mr fq300 im looking at doesnt have the ACD transfer case, the exhaust should bolt up fine?
According to the thread above, the o2 sensor are in different locations, the evo 9 being on the cat and the evo 8 being after the cat.. so the plug may not fit?

yeah thanks mate, Ive had a look at that thread and they basically talk about the o2 sensor plug being in different spots (ix on the cat and viii just after the cat). So i suppose i just really need to know if the o2 sensor reaches or if it's too short.
