I think I have it narrowed down to an injector or coil on cylinder #1 that is causing the misfire and as a result is fouling the plug and opening the spark plug gap. I swapped the coil to cylinder #2 to see if the misfire would transfer to that cylinder. Today I started the car and it had the same symptoms (Misfire, No CEL) but this time it was crazy rich, like 10.00's instead of fully lean. I'm thinking that its the coil.. If my injector was clogged I wouldn't be running rich like that, or under boost like it does. I think I might have knock off COP's.. Whats the best way to tell they're real and functioning like they should? And how do I find a genuine OEM replacement? I read in a thread there a lot of knock offs out there that claim to be "genuine" which is exactly what I found when I searched for a replacement. I would really like to just buy a single coil replacement for now if I can. My other option is to upgrade to the Spoolin Up COP, which is like $500, but I'm still not even 100% sure this is the culprit.
Leaving work yesterday I had another no crank no start. Unplugged some sensor harnesses and cleaned up some leftover oil that was in there from when my oil fill cap was leaking. Car started up after that.. Went home and pulled codes using EvoScan and got another p0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor - no reference signal to EFI. Something must be going on with the wiring to the Crankshaft Position Sensor. Going to run through the harness and wiring for the Crankshaft Position Sensor, does anyone have a diagram of the wiring??
