My setup could probably get closer to 400 mark but I wanted a safe tune. So my boost was set to 22psi with small spik to about 23psi. I think if it was tuned to 25-26psi, I can get to 400 and probably get some knock on cool days or nights.

Ontario does have 94 octane (E10), so yeah, it's a good margin better than California 91.
OP, the correct way to do this is just to go through every build thread you can find, examine their power figures and analyze their setup, that's the way to come to the best-informed conclusion. This is definitely something you can figure out with lots of time fishing through forums.

20g is not a great compressor. I would stick with something from FP. Either an FP54 Green, or the HTZ Green with the full size turbine. Since you want to run pump gas, I'd opt for the HTZ Green with the full size turbine for better flow/less back pressure.

sorry for the hijack, but since the topic is kind of going there. Have blouch (bbk) turbos fallen out of favor with evom? Because that would also seem like a viable option for OP.

Welcome and PICS!!! I would stay stock turbo and simple boltons. Don't go too crazy and keep all your stock parts.

BBK doesn't exist by name anymore. Blouch now makes that line of turbo's. The Blouch 1.0xt or xtr is the BBK full essentially, and those don't quite make 400whp on pump gas, and then they don't have the head room a green or red has on a built motor. And the blouch 2.0 (BBK3B) doesn't quite make what a red can.

I actually run a CBRD bbk- 3b which is a Blouch 2.0 turbo, I don’t have easy access to e85, so I run 93 pump with meth @ 30 psi and made 468/400 on mustang dyno on a 2.3 engine. This is running a whole bunch of other mods obviously , before I had my engine built on my 2.0 with gsc s3 cams I made 500/400 on dyno jet. Although the red is a little stronger , the blouch 2.0 is not a bad turbo imho, it’s about a 58-60 lb/min turbo.

I know, I was just bracketing BBK for people who maybe weren't aware.

I was considering a blouch as a replacement if my HKS ever died. I just haven't seen them talked about much in a while and was wondering if there was some reason behind that I wasn't aware of.

As far as I know the Blouch turbos are pretty solid, I know the Subi guys have real good success with them too.

255 may not be enough pump if your plans change in any way. Since 340+ pumps are so cheap these days, might as well just go to the bigger one while you're at it. I'd also go with a name-brand intercooler kit (read: American or Japanese) to make sure that it won't hold you back in the future, too.

With my 05 MR, I made 405whp and 355wtq on 93 oct @27 psi.. As long as you have a free-flowing exhaust, injectors + pump, piping+ intercooler, a light cam, and a good tune (basic bolt ons), you should easily be able to make 400whp on e85 with a stock 9 turbo. If you want to make 400whp on pump, gonna have to get a bigger turbo.

My mods are:

- GSC S1 cams
- 73hta fp green turbo w ported mhi hotside
- 3" ETS FMIC
- ETS UICP & LICP
- ETS INTAKE
- 255 walbro
- 1000cc FIC injectors
- JMFab exhaust manifold
- MAP o2 housing
- Greddy TIC catback
- Test pipe
- grimmspeed ebcs
- spoolinup COP
- Omni 4 bar map sensor

I was thinking of getting the full bolt ons then going for the turbo just to prepare my evo for it, either the FP Black and running low boost or getting the FP Red, good suggestion tho thanks
