Exhaust leak at Midpipe

Hey everyone,

So I recently noticed an exhaust leak from my hfc to my Midpipe. At first I saw the gaskets were bad, so I replaced them, but now the leak is still there and I noticed a gap between the two pieces.. both of the bolts are very tight, so it almost seems as if one of the pieces has been warped? Is there anyway to fix this issue, like double stacking gaskets or would gasket maker even work for this big of gap? Thanks for any help!

Looks like the flange is bent & not creating a nice flat surface @4G63_Crazy

I guess, you can try double gasketing w/the proper OEM style gasket (metal reinforced) but the heat may damage it quicker than normal

Wonder if you can hammer the flange flat?

If you don't have the means to grind it flat they do make some high temperature sealant that can be used in exhaust parts but I don't know how well it would hold with that large a gap.

Try remflex gaskets. They're thick and compressible. Can usually account for some flange warp.
