Evo 8 not making anymore boost
Evo 8 not making anymore boost
Waste gate and injectors were at 100% WOT on third and car only pushing 20 psi at the most. My question is, shouldn't i be over boosting at this point because of the 100% duty cycle on the waste gate? or is this just the way it is? I know that the evo 8s are very restricted and idk what Im missing.. Car got full bolt ons and cams along with 1200 cc injectors tuned on 94.. im trying to get more out of my tune that's all
thanks
thanks
Are you still on the stock boost solenoid? If so, it come set at 100% duty cycle from the factory. You have to change the boost pill to get more boost with the stock solenoid. And you are at 100% duty cycle with 1200cc injectors on 94!? Even on e85, you shouldnt be maxing those out with a stock turbo.

On the stock turbo, boost will tank up top, especially on oem WGA (which I think is 13psi). My 71hta tanks to about 22 psi with stock WGA. You can install a stronger WGA, but you will gain more heat with the extra boost and probably won't gain much power.
But around 3500-4000, you should be hitting 25-28 psi boost, depending on outside temps (assuming your DV holds the boost).

From what i remember, the last log that i did to finish off my etune which was about a month ago, ~20psi around 7-7.5k rpm
This is weird because I was driving around the other day and did some 2nd gear pulls and gauge says 23.6psi peak boost at 6.5k rpm
got ahold of the tuner and said that there could be something wrong with my waste gate, not quite sure what he means

I used a friends laptop during the etune and I sent a copy to myself of the last log through email and it became an SRF file instead of a CSV which cant be recognized by evoscan, I dont know how to pull out tables x)
Maybe theres away to converting it? the laptop that i used is a couple hours away xD

Edit:
Oops. Your post seems to say you were trying to save as a CSV but got an SRF instead. SRF is a ROM format, not a log. So you may have saved the wrong thing. Hopefully I'm reading right.
