Timing belt bearings

Hello Everyone,

I have recently replaced timing belt, shaft balance belt, water pump, oil seals and 3 bearings.

Upon completion of the above, I noticed that there is an unusual sound from the timing belt area.

Could the sound result from incorrect bearings that were installed ?

please share your thoughts.

All advise will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Simon

Have you replaced this updated bracket? https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...elt-video.html

The three bearings you refer to most likely are contained in the three pulleys that are normally part of a timing belt job. New bearings don't make noise.

Two things are critical when replacing the timing belts, belt tension and balance shaft timing. If either are wrong it could cause noise or vibration. Best to get it inspected by a knowledgeable person.

Hello SoSoEVO

Bracket was not replaced.

I suspect the unusual sound is from the bearings that were incorrect, appeared same as previous bearing but I guess the serial numbers are different
