Transmission and Tcase questions

I am looking to upgrade my stock trans and tcase in my Evo 9 MR. I currently have the 6spd and have been wanting to swap to a 5spd. Currently I have a 2.3 stroker still running stock head and turbo making 498 awhp / 504 awtq. What would be the best route to go as far as who to get the trans and tcase from and stage 1 or stage 2? I will be going to upgrade the head and turbo next so I want to make sure when I do that everything will be able to hold the hp and twq. Thanks for any help on this subject.

Not sure of what "stages" mean but from the top of my head the only way to really get more strength from the transmission is to have it shot peened, cryogenic-treatment and gear detailing. I'm pretty sure only TRE does all 3 while others do cryogenic treatment only(if i remember correctly).

Well I am going to go with the FP Zero for the turbo and ince I do that and the head I should be around 800 hp and 650 twq. So I really want to make sure what ever trans and tcase I go with will be capable of handling at least those numbers

At these levels the drivetrain "handling" it is relative.

TRE will be your best option to get the drivetrain done correctly and live the longest possible life. You're going to want the rear diff done with all of his options, transfercase done with a wavetrac, and build the trans with a billet 4th gear, and a billet 3rd would also be a good idea. And with those numbers a taller final drive won't hurt. A 4.11 would be my choice.
