I wouldn't take chances on a sketchy WGA - you got lucky that it jammed open in this case. If it jams shut, you might get no boost control and nuke your motor. Replace it.

I don't have a USDM Evo so I can't comment, but I'm sure somebody will chime in with a good recommendation.
