Aeroshell 15w50?
my friend built a civic with a GT35R turbo and a fully built motor from the bottom up, prolly the fastest highway racing civic i have ever seen. Any ways he runs aircraft grade aeroshell motor oil. Is this better? i think he uses 15w50, my dad used to have a Malibu Mirage with a piston engine (now upgraded to a jet turbine) and he used the same oil, his piston engine had a turbocharger, and my friend with the civic said it doesnt break down as easy? I know its expensive stuff but is it anyway better grade oil for a car?
I believe the service manual says the EVO can use upto 20w-50 in higher temp environments. So I dont think 15w-50 would be a problem.
Just check these links out:
AeroShell Multigrade W15 W50
Multigrades pt. 1 - What are the advantage of using AeroShell Oil W 15W-50?
I still think a good synthetic would be just as good. Hope this helps!
