Ok Guys, decided to give my SRT8 a break since my Evo has been down for 3-4 years, blew the 6 speed
Don't worry converting to a 5 speed but id basically like input from people that have bought 5 speed performance transmissions and what the best on the market is right now
I havnt been on the evo side of things in a long time lol

Send it to TRE. Evo8 1-4, Evo9 5th, and a 4.31 or 4.11 final drive if it's going to make over 500wtq. If under 500wtq, do an Evo9 first and stock final drive.

The Evo8 first us a bit shorter so that first gear isn't so long with a taller final drive. The Evo9 first works well with the stock final driver as it is a bit taller.

I told you to go with TRE. He puts the best transmission together for these cars. What shep builds can't shake a stick at TRE.

Been daily driving stock IX tranny since new with no problems and now 150k miles. Did a quick refresh a few years back with Jack and it was in great shape so only about $50 in parts were replaced due to wear. If just a daily driver then likely just do a standard refresh with Jack. He turned it around in 2-3 days.

 

Got the TRE trans finally lol really pricey. I'm needing to send my T-case to him soon as its whining and has a slight chatter, Does the tranny and T-case let fluid pass through where they mate together? The TRE install/break-in sheet said the transmission feeds the Front LSD oiling circuit and to my knowledge the front LSD is in the t-case.
Also love the vids bud, just stumbled onto your channel a few months ago when you took your evo to spectator dirt racing!
