Can you guys verify does the FP HTA71 housing ONLY bolt onto a 9 turbo or it will bolt onto and stock 8 turbo as well? Thanks

 

Its works on the 8 as well w/the addition of the install kit. Heres a clip from their website:

You can bolt to evo 8 turbine housing,but you need the shorter evo 9 jpipe because ove 8 jpipe is too long with hta71 and touches your starter.

Yup! Thanks guys. I got an STM install kit with it. Pretty much have full bolt ons now, except for cams. Just waiting for that turbo to come in, also throwing in injectors for e85, and probably gonna do a ported FP exhaust mani or stock mani ported, port the turbo, and port the 02-housing to help prevent boost creep from my STM dumb tube I’m running. I heard just porting the turbo is fine when trying to help with boost creep but I’m not sure, tryna play it as safe as possible. Hoping to break atleast 400whp on the dyno. Still on stock clutch but only have 12K miles and cars only ever been launched once so she’s in top shape i’d say, to last a little longer (fingers crossed)

 

Be careful porting as it thins out metal. If tou are new to porting, I suggest you keep it simple and only smooth out rhe inside.

 

Yeah I’ve heard, shops gonna be doing it for me before the tune so was gonna see their input on it. Wether they say just port the turbo and forget about porting the exhaust mani and 02-housing cause it’s not worth doing etc.
