Megan Racing Downpipe

I just wanted to let everyone know that I just purchased & installed my Megan racing downpipe from info@speednstlez.com

The quality of the FLAT flanges, welds & fit is very good for the price, $150!

I was a bit skeptical because nobody has posted about this dp, but from the pics it looked as good as some other manufactor's for twice the price. Once I recieved it, I was stoked.

The fit is pretty good, more distance between the oil pan than a couple of other makers & it also cleared the stock braces, but just barely. Nothing that a thick washer under the stock braces didnt take care of.

The dp comes with hardware & gasket for the dp to cat flange, but you will need to get 2 bolts 12mmx1.25X25mm long & a gasket to bolt the dp to O2 housing.

Give James a shout, info@speednstlyez.com. He has these in stock & got mine to me within a couple of days.

Evidently my 2 year daughter broken our camera as I found once trying to take some pics! So my wife says. I'll get pics of the install ASAP.

Thanks for the post, I'm going to inquire on getting one today. Let me know if you find any hiccups with your install. I saw your post on the Option Imports thread that has the offroad pipe and this down pipe for $250. I don't want the cel issues of the offraod pipe. Thats funny I have 2 year old daughter too, she can tear up some things too, more than my three year old boy. They call my Evo the Bat Mobile.

I didn't get one either, I was under the impression you could use the old gasket. I plan to install tommorrow. I'll let you know.

The gasket I used was from a muffler shop that fit over the stub of the O2 housing. However, the fit of the 2 bolts of the gasket had to be cut / the bolt spacing wasnt aas wide as the 02 housing. No big deal, because the gasket is sealing between the 02 housing & flange.

I took some header material from Mr Gasket and cut one the exact fit. Works great no leak. My problem is the flex section of the DP rests right against my front differential. Making a terrible noise. I also was under the impression this DP would bolt right up to the stock converter, it does but its an ugly fit. At idle it don't leak but I'm not so sure under hard acceleration. Is anyone else having this problem? I will try to get James to send me another to try, I'll also post some pics as soon as one of my friends emails them to me. I didn't have my camera on me.
