Vacuum Line?

Alright, here goes......

I just recently bought an 8 RS and the previous owner said that the EGR was deleted so, I decided to take a look tonight and see if everything was done correctly (it wasn't) but in my findings I found the vac line going from the IM to the FPR is tee'd off and the third end is running to the front of the vehicle and up under the RH fender liner.

Any ideas what this might be for? boost gauge? only the OEM gauge is in there.

This line definitely seems to be aftermarket because it is zip tied to the high side ac line.

I'll have a chance to tear in and trace it down this weekend but I thought you wonderful people might have an idea and point me in the right direction.

oh.... here's a ****ty pic for your viewing pleasure.

probably a boost gauge.. I don't like anything teeing off that line as if/when it breaks you will soon go lean on boost..

To the OEM boost gauge. My 9MR has the boost vac line T'd from the fpr and is routed the same way to the oem boost gauge. This is how its done from the factory.

Can confirm.

I traced it yesterday and it does go to the OEM boost gauge.

It just looks like crap so figured it was some aftermarket thing
