So my 03 evo 8 will start up perfectly fine. But when i put it into gear. It does not move. I tried every gear to see if anything would happen and nothing did. If i purposely try to stall it nothing happens as well. I checked the shifter cables and bushings and they were working fine. Anything that i should check before having to drop the trans? (if i have too)

 

Any issues with the clutch pedal? It's either a clutch issue or a Transfercase issue.

 

the pedal seems fine. it doesnt feel any different. How would i diagnose both the clutch and tcase ? I have a new clutch if it needs to be replaced.

 

i would jack the car up off the ground... with the car not runnin...put in neutral and try to spin all the tires.
see if i hear anything.

with the car not running, then i would put in gear and see if i could spin any of the wheels.
watching what is turning under the car.

then i owuld try the same thing with it running... you know, see what moves and what doesnt.

 

will try this. Any more suggestions ?
