Short shifter to 6-speed manual

i looking for short shifter kit, like CAE, or IRP, etc.. for my Evo 8, which has 6-speed manual gearbox. Anywhere i tried ,i found shifters for 5-speed box only.
Anyone has advice or know a brand who make quality short shifter for 6speedo?

They're not, I contacted WK a few weeks ago about their upcoming 6 speed short shifter, was told they look like being available towards the middle of this year.

In my 8mr i had the same issue and couldn’t find a 6sp short shifter.
i installed metal shifting bushings.
It makes a huge difference in shifting compared from the rubbery ones, its more direct metal feel now!

CAE now offers a 6 speed shifter for the evo 8/9 as of last week.

@kaj I believe you were looking for a 6 speed shifter once upon a time?

well, that is a novel solution to the problem... 5 Speed shifter basically and a conversion kit for the cable mount on the box... cool... (fore/aft cable on the 5 spd and 6 spd runs in opposite directions which makes a short shifter on the 6 spd tricky to do)

@kaj im in the process of swapping the 5 speed too, but I can’t find the reverse and speed wires connected to it now that Mitsubishi discontinued it. You happen to have it lay around or know of someone

Got myself one of the first 6 speed short shifters from WK Motorsport. I've done an unboxing video if you're interested, I'll get a install and a review video in the next few days. This video was made for my Facebook group, but I've got a Youtube channel that I also load my vids on. Enjoy

Here's an install video I made for the six speed short shifter. All pretty straightforward, bar swapping the cable connection on the top of the gearbox around so the other end lines up with the shifter correctly.
