No Start, No SES, No OBD2 data, No Fuel Prime

Driving yesterday with my mom, and the car just cut off (thankfully not on the interstate). Pulled over. Crank. Nothing. I'm going to check the 3 relays for the pump (2 under the dash and 1 under the hood) and report back. But I also noticed that I don't get connectivity to the OBD2 port. It gets power but doesnt pull data when the car is in the ON position. And then I noticed I don't get a SES (Service Engine Soon) light either. None. It doesn't even light up. So is this a sign that the ECU fried?

Try checking the fuse for the ecu. If it's blown, start inspecting the wiring harness.

Yup its blown. Car starts now and runs fine (just down the block and back). It was the 20A mini-fuse in the fusebox under the hood (2005 Lancer Evo 8). I wonder why it would go like that? It was a slight drizzle yesterday so maybe water crept in (unlikely i suspect). Any idea where are common culprits for this?

checked up and down the harness on the engine side and nothing. now i'm kinda afraid to drive it more than just around the block in fear it might happen again

hopefully the ECU is fine. I wouldn't even know where to start to find a spare evo 8 ECU

For what it’s worth, check the wiring connections on both driver and passenger kick panels. Sometimes water can leak in there and causes all sorts of issues.
