Valve cover pressure - boost leak test

Just checking...but it is normal to have pressure building up and getting past the valve cover during a heavy boost leak test, right? For my boost leak test, I cap the front right valve cover outlet that would go to the intake. I then setup my pressure source on the intake side of the turbo and when I exceed approx 25ish PSI I get hissing and some air getting by the valve cover gaskets. Everything else seems to hold it fine. Eventually my stock metal BOV will start hissing and loosing air around 30 PSI but I don't test past 30.

I have oil catch cans on both sides...PCV and intake but haven't had them long enough to see how they are collecting.

You can't plug the valve cover, you need to let it air out of the vent port. I run a hose out of the engine bay so I can listen for actual boost leaks.
