bigger oil pan

hello,

do i need bigger oil ams/moroso or will stock oil pan be enough?

my setup:
evo 8 built 2.0 oil squatters installed.
fp red
turbosmart 14psi wga
1650 injectors
450 walbro fuel pump
new oil pump
kiggly HLA
s2 cams with spring and retainers
fluid damper
evo 9 12 fin oil cooler

will be tuning it on e85 max boost 31psi or 2bar flex fuel.

want to make 550hp and 430wtq

my question is will the stock oil pan be enough on this setup or do i need a bigger oil pan to get good pressure?

you need a bigger pan if you're doing anything besides street pulls regardless of power level

I have one, sort of got sucked into it in the moment when i was doing the engine up, I do tracking around left handers so I thought it would be wise to protect my investment. Now it takes a full 5 litres every change

The ams/moroso was built originally for the straight line scenario so should work well enough.

Some people say the moroso/ams pan needs to be modified to fit correctly

Ideally have it installed by someone who installs/has installed a lot of them. Can't speak for recent quality but I had a 2010/2011ish one that gave me no issues for over 6 years.

there is a build thread by R/TErnie where he details what he had to do to install it.

I just installed one and a lot of the issues he stated weren't present in my pan. However, I would recommend not using their included studs in favor of flanged bolts, and also ditch their oil return fitting system for a welded on AN bung if possible.

Biggest problem I had installing so far (have not bolted on the downpipe yet) was that I was getting some oil leakage from the studs, which could be that I didn't use quite enough sealant around the holes, and that the OEM turbo oil return line did not fit and I had to modify it.
