Evo6 AYC diff VS plated LSD, your opinions please
I saw your post, but the trans ratios are online, you do not need a thread.
If you trend on line you will confirm. TME RS2 and Evo 6 GSR have same ratios, and Evo 9 SE in USA has similar ratios (closer stacked 5 speed).

See the link.
You are overly concerned with details, I am not the first one to swap X AYC into an earlier chassis. Even if minor difference, the VCU will dampen it. The very reason to have differential is to dampen wheel-speed difference, and each time you make a turn your inner and outer wheels travel at different speeds. Same applies with center diff.
Just drop in 9 AYC and enjoy.

Currently, I am putting the evo6 AYC diff back on and look for a 9 AYC unit. It is hard to find them in condition over here.
I guess the clutch side is stronger in the 9 AYC diff.
Regarding the gearing I will try to get 0.72 5.gear ( versus our 0.76 ) and will not change the FD.
US Domestic Market Evo 8 2003-2005 had 5 speed with 5th 0.72 vs Evo 6/TME and Evo 9 5 speed having0.761 5th.
For sports purpose car like TME, 0.761 all the way.
For "normal daily driver", or even for Powerful Street Car like an Evo 9 with 700bhp or something like that, 0.72 5th: so you can cruise on motorway comfortably.
