4G63 Weight?

Does this sound correct - fully dressed 4G63 weighed in at 119 kilos/262 pounds?

A friend lent us a scale and figured I would try it out as we lowered the fresh build into the Evo 5.

No fluids, but with an alternator and Evo 9 turbo to throttle body (no power steering/AC compressor).

Seems incredibly light for such a powerhouse (ours is only hoping for 400 CHP).

Cheers!

From what ive read. Approx 46lbs for the head & complete short block (internals, pan, waterpump) is: 209lbs

Id say your scale rig is pretty accurate

I've always wondered what the transmission weights. Any chance of putting it on the scale?

Good deal. I had no reason to doubt the digital scale, but seemed light!

Trans...it crossed my mind, but pulling the hoist out is a bit of a pain...now it is installed.

I will check the transfer case number.
