Stock transmission gear HP limits?
Good question w/many different opinions. Here's a great thread w/some very experienced members comments:

550-600~ whp or about the limit of a reasonably tuned FP Black Turbo Car from speaking with TRE in the past. Mitsu rated it at 350-375 ft-lbs iirc. Clutch is another factor, a heavier clutch will wear stuff down faster than one with less clamp pressure (triple discs, anything with a hydraulic TOB like a quartermaster are all known to break stuff)
i would disagree^^^
there are many cars making way over 600 hp that the transmissions are fine.
if the original OP is just asking ... "if im just roll racing, at what hp will my teeth in my tranny just shear off"...
then the post in the previous link by English racing is a good answer to this question

ER quote here:
Drive it like a Swiss Watch. Roll into it! Dont bang on it too hard
Our drag car is running a completely stock 5 speed rebuilt to our specs. All factory parts, nothing is cryo'd nor REM'd, nothing aftermarket.
My car is a stock 5 speed built the same way, Lukes, Jake's, all our customers, etc. 3rd and 4th need to be inspected close or replaced after abuse because we have seen them fail after 800-900 passes at high power over the life of the car (counting dyno pulls).

Torque is what kills gears, and rods. I've watch more than a handful of stock turbo and FP Green cars munch 4th gear from making tons of torque down low. Plenty of guys with slow spooling turbos make 800+ hp on completely stock transmissions without issue.
I have a stock IX tranny and have been around 500hp@wheels since 2013 and above 600hp@wheels for the past 2 years with torque above 500ft-lbs@wheels. Car is a daily driver with 160K miles and no trans issues.
